Thank you for becoming a Patron of Restormel Concert Band. Your support is much appreciated as it is not only nice to know that we have some supporters in the community but your membership fee helps us to purchase music and pay for a rehearsal space for the band.

Dear Patrons

Happy New Year! I hope that you and your families had a lovely Christmas and have started the new year withno more than a seasonal snuffle.

After busy and enjoyableChristmas concerts we return to rehearsal with yet more new pieces toslot into the repertoire and our first concert – hopefully – on 26 th January.

It’s all go, right from the  Start!

Movingfurther into 2018 we playing for the Rotary Club in March and in aid of Theparish Chruch’s Bangladesh charity in April.   Back at Gyllingdune in Falmouthin June and in Victoria Gardens, Truro, in July.  We end the year with afinal performance  in White River Place

Despite my pleading, I am still eagerly awaiting the first responseto my request for quotable quotes that I can forward to Pam for inclusion inthe programme!  Please make this YOUR opportunity to launch into print! You canbe the first to see your name in the Band programme [– or remainanonymous, if you prefer..] I know you’ve read this all before but……..What isit that motivates your commitment to supporting the Band?  Whichpieces/styles do you like best?  How can we encourage youngsters to jointhe Band?  We’d really love to hear views and news from you all!

Thank you, once again, to allof you who take the time to come and say “hello” at the concerts. I met quite anumber of our loyal supporters over Christmas – someone even came all the wayfrom Dartmooor!

Don’t forget to look out forstarred concerts where you can use your Patrons’  vouchers [*] – see the listoverleaf –

I am sure that you will allwelcome the news that dear Alan Brewer’s wife, Phil, is to become a Life Memberof our Patrons.  After such long and fervent support it is the least we canoffer.

I know that you will continueto support Restormel Concert Band and it is always good to see familiar faces atconcerts.

By way of a New Year’sResolution, why not bring a friend or neighbour along to the next concert andthen you will have someone to discuss the merits of the band!

Wehope that 2018 starts well and we will continue to grow and improve. We all lookforward to seeing you at our concerts throughout the year.

All the very best                                                                                    Heather
